KEM-TRON was honored by a visit from the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Mr. Donald Evans, at their Stafford, TX facility. Mr. Evans was in town for the US-Russian Energy Summit. The official kickoff for the Summit was held at KEM-TRON where it was awarded the Export Achievement Award especially for the sucess of its business in Russia and the CIS States. KEM-TRON has been selling chemicals and equipment to Russia since 1992 and currently has over 90 rigs running in Russia with their equipment.
KEM-TRON's state-of-the-art dewatering technology has helped Russian drilling contractors meet the strict environmental standards for drilling in the Siberian tundra. With over 40 units in Russia, KEM-TRON is proud to be the leading supplier of dewatering technology and closed loop systems in the region. Mr. Evans toured KEM-TRON's facility with Founder and President, Mr. Hemu Mehta, and gave a brief shop-floor talk to the entire company followed by a question and answer session. "It was a great honor to have the Secretary come give us this award in person," says Mehta. "He was a great sport to come out here in the 90 degree Texas heat!"
