TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENATIVE

The successful candidate will be able to meet with current and potential customers, travel within the US, conduct field demos, attend trade shows and train customers on use of equipment. The position requires the ability to prepare detailed reports on sales trips and contacts and the ability to articulate product features and benefits to all levels of the prospect’s organization from equipment operators up to the executive level. Candidate must possess strong organizational skills, a high level of motivation, and be driven to achieve success. Candidate must be a team player and possess a strong desire to join a dynamic team of professionals working towards excellence in the global market.
• Generate inquiries and follow up with proposals and subsequent telephone calls and/or visits to close sale.
• Work closely with engineering and inside sales to prepare customized proposals.
• Promptly respond to telephone, mail, fax and email inquiries in order to close sales.
• Prepare detailed notes on each customer call or visit.
• Prepare quarterly and annual forecast of sales and travel related expenditures.
• Keep track of competition – price, market share, product features and capabilities.
• Assist customers with startup and training of product.
• Write reports on startup with customer feedback to provide to engineering.
• Conduct training and troubleshooting seminars – in the field, at trade shows, at company headquarters.
• Work closely with QA department to provide feedback on product operation.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years minimum experience working as sales representative for industrial products preferred but equivalent work experience will be considered.
Qualified candidates must be willing to travel within assigned territory approximately 30-50% of the time.
Position provides base salary plus commission and benefits.
